"Eight years ago, on February 11th, 2017, we released a single realm." That's how Vulengate opened its anniversary post in 2025, and the sentence that followed counted "six realms that have welcomed thousands." It is a survival server of the friendly kind: keep inventory on, griefing and raiding banned, mcMMO skills, weekly events with prizes, and a battle pass that you can earn with vote points instead of money.
How it plays
Separate survival worlds with different rule sets and ages, so a new player gets fresh land and a veteran keeps a seven-year base.
Die and keep your stuff. Build and keep your build. The rules are strict about both, and the staff enforce them.
Skills that level with use, and weekly build events and competitions with real prizes.
Player shops and a "community driven" economy with "a variety of ways to earn money."
The battle pass, done fairly
Vulengate's battle pass is the feature that shows how the server thinks. The first season ran July 15 to September 2, 2023, and there have been eight since, each "a 7 week long event where players complete quests to obtain unique rewards." Weekly tasks earn XP that climbs tiers. The premium pass adds extra tasks and exclusive items, and you can buy it "from the Vulengate Store or in-game using 200 Vote Points," so a player who votes every day gets the paid tier for free. That is the whole ethos in one mechanic.
Who it's for
People who want survival Minecraft with other people in it and none of the ways other people usually ruin it. It's a mid-sized server, dozens online rather than thousands, which means the events have regulars and the staff know names. The wiki is thorough, the changelog is public, and the crates in the store are cosmetics and keys rather than power.
