"The world has been running continuously since November 2018 with zero full-map resets." That sentence on Vanilla Europa's front page is the pitch, and the rest of the page is the list of things the server does to keep it true: land claims so nobody can grief you, daily moderation, rules that make stealing a ban, and a hardware budget that most survival servers would consider showing off. Over 300,000 players have joined the one world.
Vanilla, with the sharp edges filed
Claim what you build and it can't be touched. "Griefing and stealing are strictly against the rules," enforced daily.
Optional Plasmo Voice or Simple Voice Chat mods give you distance-based voice, so a town sounds like a town.
No plugin currency. Diamonds are money, and /warp Market is where player shops trade them.
Java and Bedrock players share the world, on the latest Minecraft version.
What it won't do is sell you anything that matters. The site says "No pay-to-win," adds that it is verified EULA-compliant by Mojang, and the store is cosmetics. That's the line that separates a long-lived SMP from a seasonal one: nobody bought their way to the top of this world, so nobody minds that it never resets.
Built to last
A never-reset world gets heavy, and Vanilla Europa answers with engineering: it runs Folia, the multithreaded server, on "cutting-edge Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPUs," supports the Voxy mod for a 256-chunk render distance, and publishes a live Dynmap so you can find your friends' builds from a browser. The wiki and the YouTube channel document the rest.

Add play.vanillaeuropa.com on the current version (Java or Bedrock). Read the claim tutorial at spawn, then follow a road away from the center until you find empty land: after seven years, that's a walk. Install a voice mod if you want to hear your neighbors.
For the no-PvP take on the same idea, read Peaceful Vanilla Club. Our guide to servers with voice chat covers the mods. Browse our SMP servers list.
