CubeCraft: EggWars, SkyWars and 30 million connections later

It invented EggWars, hit 57,000 players at once, and became an official Minecraft partner. Java and Bedrock players still queue for the same games.

CubeCraft Games opened on December 21, 2012, in the same season as Mineplex and a few months before Hypixel. Of that generation of minigame networks, it is the one that made the jump to Bedrock cleanly and never stopped. Its site puts the scale simply: "Founded in 2012, we're now one of the world's largest Minecraft Networks." The record books put numbers on it: more than 30 million unique connections and a peak of over 57,000 players online at once.

The games it's known for

EggWars

CubeCraft's own invention: protect your egg, break theirs, buy gear with generator resources. The template a lot of "bed" games borrowed.

SkyWars

Islands, chests, one survivor. CubeCraft's version is one of the most played anywhere, with ranked and team variants.

BedWars, Lucky Islands, Pillars of Fortune

The current line-up, plus experiments like Mob Who in beta, and the Magic and Mayhem RPG it launched on both editions in 2021.

Java and Bedrock, one network

CubeCraft expanded to Bedrock in 2018 and became one of the featured servers built into the game, an "Official Minecraft Server Partner." Unusually, it kept Java going with the same games and seasonal events, and it added North American servers in 2021 after years of European hosting. The community behind it is enormous by forum standards: 365,979 registered members and 1.65 million posts on the site when we read it.
